Luau Party

Hawaiian Luau Party

Luau by definition means 'a feast'.     Hawaiian natives consider a Hawaiian luau to be a family
get together to enjoy good food, good company, and to have an excellent time! Ukulele's and
Hula Hoops are always optional!
Hawaiian Luaus are traditionally held for birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, bridal
events, family reunions, etc. but they can be held for absolutely no reason as well!  The
atmosphere at a luau should be very relaxing.  Because of this, hosting a luau for first time
friends is a great idea!  It's a super way to break the ice because your guests are relaxed from
the moment they arrive.

Let's get this party planning started:

First: Design the Perfect Invitation for your luau party!  Along with your invitation, sprinkle some tropical metallic confetti and include a lei bracelet for the ladies!

Purchase fun Hawaiian-inspired Luau party decor for your home and start in the front walk way!  The
party starts as soon as the guests drive up!

When the guests walk in to the luau, present them with a lei and snap their picture in front of a flower
and balloon wall. Hand them a cocktail made in a carved out pineapple!

The luau party should be hosted in the backyard, preferably by a poolside.  Play a cool Island music
CD and light tiki torches - for a duel purpose if you add citronella in them!  Keep the bugs away!
Set up an appetizer table with a raffia table skirt with a coconut and pineapple centerpiece laden with
silk Hawaiian flowers.  Use beachcomber hats upside down with festive-colored napkins inside
to hold munchin' items such as crackers, chips and nut mixes.

Throw metallic palm tree confetti around the table for a fun, festive effect.
